On Monday 11th June we once again held our annual Sponsored Walk - with the theme this year being 'The World Cup'. Each class were representing 2 of the participating countries and with their flags held aloft our school field resembled the opening ceremony. There were some fantastic costumes on show and everyone taking part persevered and completed as many laps as they could in the inclement weather - we were all rather soggy at the end. So far we have raised just over £1300.00 which is a fantastic effort after only a few days of the event - keep an eye on the weekly newsletter as the updated total will be available there. Thank you as ever for your support on the day and in making costumes/sponsorship etc. We really do appreciate all that you do.
We held our annual Sponsored Walk around the school field on Monday 12th June. Children enjoyed the physical activity as well as refreshments and the numerous stalls at the event. Our theme this year was 'Heroes' and the fancy dress costumes were, as usual, fantastic. We had everything from Wonder woman to Jeremy Corbyn and even a box of chocolates. Prizes were presented in assembly to class winners of the fancy dress. Thank you to all the parents and friends for their support with this event. So far we have raised over £1,000 (keep an eye on the weekly newsletters for end of week totals). This money will be spent on books for our school library with a donation being made to St Lukes and Cancer research - 2 charities chosen by our school council.
