Christmas 2018

We have had another busy run up to Christmas at Intake School.  Take a look at just some of the exciting things we have been experiencing this year.

Christmas Crafts

Thank you to the parents who came in to school to support our Christmas Crafts Afternoon.  The children had a lovely time making different things to sell at our Christmas Fair.

We had four performances this year.  Two versions of the Nativity were performed by Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1; Y3 and 5 performed, 'Tin Hats and Telegrams' and Y4 and 6 performed the pantomime, 'Sleeping Beauty'.  We were very proud of all our actors, dancers and singers and would like to thank the parents once again for their support.

Christmas Fair

Our new fundraising group, Star, organised our annual Christmas fair which was a huge success and supported by so many parents, children and friends.  Thank you to all who came or supported by donating gifts to sell.

Carol Singing

KS2 visited three local care homes and sang Christmas songs and carols to the residents - some of whom were even dancing along!

Santa Visit

Our annual awards assembly again took place on our last day of term and our Christmas Jumper Day.  Everyone was in a festive mood as we presented awards for attendance, maths, good learning and citizenship.  We even had a special visitor - Louise Haigh MP , who presented prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of her Christmas Card competition.  We ended with one of our favourite 'action' carols, the Twelve Days of Christmas.
