World Book Day 2021
We shall be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 4th March 2021. The Theme for World Book Day this year is Favourite Bedtime Stories!
On the Day
We are asking the children, at home and those in school, to wear their pyjamas, onesies or tracksuits/leisure wear on the day and share their favourite bedtime story with their teacher via Twitter, on Google Meets or in school.
The children will be taking part in book based activities in their teacher and class. Each child will also receive a £1.00 World Book Day voucher to spend on either a special World Book Day £1.00 book, or towards the cost of another book.
Again this year, like the last one, there is a fantastic selection of £1 books suitable for all age groups. There are brand new titles which have been written especially by some of the world’s leading children’s authors and illustrators. The books will be available to ‘buy’ with the £1 tokens. The £1 tokens can be exchanged for one of the books or can be put towards the purchase of any full price book. The books will be available at local booksellers such as ASDA at Manor Top and Handsworth Road, Sainsbury’s and WH Smiths at Crystal Peaks, plus many more place in Sheffield.
Thank you for your supporting our World Book Day event and promoting reading.
