Hello Year 2s!!!
We are so sorry that you cannot come into school at the moment. We are going to really miss all the exciting things we had planned and more importantly miss each and every one of you!!
To help you to continue learning while we are off please could you have a go at the following tasks we have set you? Remember to try you best and challenge yourself where you can. Try to do this daily:
- Read a book with someone
- Practise your Super Spellings
- Challenge yourself on Times Tables Rock stars
- Follow the daily Maths Curriculum Lessons from White Rose
- Try the English Lessons and the Additional optional Maths from The Oak Academy Units
At Intake School, we follow the White Rose Maths Scheme. To keep up with what we are doing in school, follow this link to the current weeks daily lessons.
Look out for this week’s spelling on the website. Practise writing them make sure you spell them correctly.
Now you can spell them practise these in Super Sentences and don’t forget to use conjunctions- and, so, because, if etc
Write a Statement (The red car is next to the blue van)
Write a question (How do you get to school?)
Write an exclamation (What a huge bear!)
Write a command (Cut the cheese carefully.)

Each session builds on the next, so always do Day 1 first and work through them, have a go and challenge yourself.
How Coyote Brought Fire to the Earth.
You will be read an exciting story about a coyote. You will retell the story and use fantastic adjectives to describe the coyote.
Addition and Subtraction.
You will add and subtract numbers using your knowledge of number bonds and tens and ones.
It’s important to stay active and happy during this time.
Can you go for a walk or play in the garden?
Have a look around what do you see?
What do the trees look like? What is weather like?
Can you see any plants?
Can you spot any mini-beasts?
What are they like?
It’s so important to make someone happy!!!
Can you help out a t home? It may help at home if you can:
Make your bed
Tidy your toys away
Set the table for dinner
Help to make the food, safely, with help from an adult
Put your clothes away
Do an activity quietly and on your own for up to half an hour
