Y5 Home Learning

If your child has to miss any schooling though prolonged illness or through self-isolation, it is important that they are able to keep their skills sharp and not miss out on moving their learning forward. On  the year group page there are lots of ways in which your child can continue to keep in touch with the learning taking place within the classroom:- reading, spelling and maths.

At Intake School, we follow the White Rose Maths Scheme.  To keep up with what we are doing in school, follow this link to the current weeks daily lessons.

Curriculum Maths

English

English Spelling – try some of the Oak Academy lessons on different spelling patterns, suffixes or homophones.

Alongside this, we have provided this link to The Oak Academy website where pupils can further practise their key skills in Maths and English. Teaching videos and short, sharp tasks will guide your child through the chosen objectives.

Unfortunately, we are unable to access the system to check on the progress of your child but we would appreciate any feedback. Please keep in contact with your child’s teacher using the emails below.
