Autism

The School works closely with The Sheffield Autism Service which is linked with the Autism Education Trust (AET).

The SENCo in school is trained to deliver Autism Education Trust (AET) training up to Tier 1 but is trained up to Tier 3 herself. 

Tier 1 training has been delivered to TAs and Teachers with plans to share this with Lunchtime Supervisors and Governors at a future date. 

Staff in school are knowledgeable about Autism and have a number of effective strategies that are used to support our children with an Autism diagnosis.

When additional support is required school makes referrals for support from the Sheffield Autism Service.
